Intercity train stations in Dublin

There are three main stations in Central Dublin where you can catch long-distance, intercity trains. These are Connolly, Heuston and Pearse (with the majority of Intercity services running from Connolly and Heuston).

Connolly Station

Services: Intercity, Commuter, DART, Luas
Main Intercity destinations: Belfast, Rosslare, Wexford, Sligo

Heuston Station

 

Address: St. Johns Road West, Dublin 8
Services: Intercity, Commuter, Luas
Main Intercity services: Cork, Limerick, Waterford, Galway, Mayo and Kerry.

Pearse Station

 

Address: Westland Row, Dublin D02 T958
Services: Intercity, Commuter, DART
Main Intercity destinations: Wexford, Rosslare


Suburban services (DART and Commuter)

The main Central Dublin stations for suburban services (DART and Commuter) are listed below, along with some of the key destinations served.

  • Connolly — trains to Arklow, Dundalk, Greystones, Howth, Longford, Maynooth and Newbridge.

  • Docklands — trains to M3 Parkway.

  • Grand Canal Dock — trains to Arklow, Dundalk, Greystones, Howth, Longford, Maynooth and Newbridge.

  • Heuston — trains to Athlone, Carlow and Portlaoise

  • Pearse — trains to Arklow, Dundalk, Greystones, Howth, Longford, Maynooth and Newbridge.

  • Tara Street — trains to Arklow, Dundalk, Greystones, Howth, Longford, Maynooth and Newbridge.

Airport bus connections with Dublin train stations

If you would like to get to transfer from Dublin Airport onto the Irish rail network (or vice versa),

  • Connolly Station is adjacent to Custom House Quay, where you can catch a 782 or 784 bus to Dublin Airport.

  • Heuston Station is served by the 782 bus route to Dublin Airport.
