Getting the bus to Dublin Port
Although there is a tram stop near Dublin Port (The Point), it is a considerable distance from the terminal buildings. So the best way to get to Dublin Port via public transport is usually by bus.
Ferry shuttle buses (Stena Line and Irish Ferries)
If you are catching a ferry from Dublin Port, getting a dedicated ferry shuttle bus is recommended. There is a shuttle bus service that meets Stena Line and Irish Ferries services. 53 bus route
You can catch the Dublin Bus 53 route to and from Dublin Port.
You can travel on this bus to Terminal 1 (Irish Ferries and Steam Packet Company), Terminal 2 (Stena Line) and Terminal 5 (Seatruck).
When travelling from the City Centre, the bus departs from Talbot Street, via Connolly Station to Dublin Port. You can view the full route on the Moovit site.
Buses run hourly, Monday to Saturday from around 7am to 7.45pm (the Sunday service is less frequent). The journey time is approximately 15-25 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis to and from Dublin Port
For some passengers, travelling by taxi to and from Dublin Port will prove the easier option.
