This section contains information about key Dublin Airport bus services, including the popular Aircoach and Dublin Express options.
Note: Leap Cards are not valid on Aircoach or Dublin Express buses.
How to get from Dublin Airport to the city centre
There isn’t yet a train from Dublin Airport to the city centre, but you can make use of several bus routes which serve the airport, including good express services which provide interchanges with Dublin trains and trams. You’ll find information about these below.
Aircoach
The Aircoach buses provide express services from Dublin Airport to the city centre, and their routes contain several interchanges with key Dublin tram stops — check out our rail map to see the connections for the main city centre route, number 700.
The main Aircoach route, the 700, typically runs every 30 minutes. You can view the timetable here.

Dublin Express bus
The Dublin Express Route 782 takes you from Dublin Airport to the city centre, and is the best option if you need to travel to Heuston Station. Buses typically run every 15-20 minutes. Dublin Express also provides some additional routes from the airport to other parts of the city, including to Terenure and Charlotte Way — you can view all the available destinations here.

Note that these services do not accept Leap cards.
Wheelchair accessibility / step free access
Aircoach buses are low-floor, wheelchair-accessible vehicles that can accomodate one wheelchair passenger at a time. However, wheelchair users must contact Aircoach 24 hours in advance of travel - the details for doing so are available here.

Routes
Bus Eireann, Ireland’s state-owned coach company, provide a wide range of services which serve the Greater Dublin Area and beyond. You van view a full list of these on the Bus Eireann website, but routes which are of most relevance to passengers wishing to travel in the Greater Dublin Area are as follows:

Local bus services
Routes
A number of local Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland services also operate from Dublin Airport to various locations around the city. These are:
16: Dublin Airport Towards Ballinteer (Kingston)
41: Abbey St. Towards Swords Manor
102: Dublin Airport to Sutton DART station
33A: Dublin Airport to Balbriggan
These services are cheaper to use than Aircoach (but can be slower).

Wheelchair accessibility
Dublin buses are low-floor and wheelchair accessible.
Additionally, Dublin Bus runs a travel assistance scheme to help those with a mobility impairment to travel around Dublin. The Travel Assistance Scheme is free and is for people aged 18 or over. Other operators
A number of private operators provide bus services to Dublin Airport. These include:
Airport Hopper operates hourly shuttle buses from Dublin Airport to Maynooth and Tallaght, serving Lexlip, Liffey Valley, Lucan, Clondalkin and various hotels en route. For wheelchair accessibility information, you will need to email the company at info@airporthopper.ie.
Green Big Bus (by Dublin Coach) provides 36 direct express services daily between Dublin Airport, the Red Cow Luas tram stop and Dundrum town. For wheelchair accessibility information, you will need to phone the company on +353 (0)1 465 9972 or email info@dublincoach.ie.
