Enhancements to Dublin Bus Services in Tallaght and Blessington
The National Transport Authority (NTA) and Dublin Bus have announced significant improvements to bus services in the Tallaght and Blessington areas, starting from Monday, 26 August 2024.
Service levels on routes between Blessington/Ballymore and Tallaght will increase by almost 20%, with four additional daily services on Route 65 between Blessington/Ballymore and Poolbeg Street. This change brings the total number of inbound services to 18 and outbound services to 17.
Additionally, a new Route 65A will be introduced, connecting Blessington to Tallaght on weekdays. This service will run twice daily, departing from Blessington at 10:30 and 12:00, and returning from Tallaght at 11:15. The 65A route will serve key locations such as The Square and Tallaght Hospital, offering onward connectivity via the Luas and other bus services.
These enhancements aim to improve public transport accessibility and convenience, providing better connections and more frequent service for residents. The upgrades are part of a broader effort to enhance public transportation across the Greater Dublin Area, supporting sustainable travel and reducing car dependency.
