Irish Rail launch new weekday evening train service between Dublin Connolly and Gorey
A new evening train service has been launched between Dublin Connolly and Gorey stations.
The service, which runs from Monday to Friday every week, leaves Dublin Connolly at 8.05pm, arriving in to Gorey station at 9.59pm.
There is also a new late service from Gorey to Dublin, which leaves Gorey at 10.25pm, arriving into Dublin Connolly shortly after midnight at 12.08am.
The two new services will also stop at Tara St, Pearse, Dun Laoghaire, Bray and Greystones, Kilcoole, Wicklow, Rathdrum, Arklow and Gorey stations.
The new services have been approved by the National Transport Authority, and follow on from Irish Rail’s public consultation on timetables back in September and October 2022.
A spokesperson for Irish Rail said “we are delighted to introduce this new service, which will be warmly welcomed by commuters on the route. Enhancing services across our network to meet customer demand is a key priority for us, and we look forward to enhancing services on other routes in the future, as new driver training and new fleet allows.”
