Two new orbital bus routes for north Dublin
The third phase of the National Transport Authority’s BusConnects programme will see two new orbital bus routes launch in north Dublin on 29th May.
The N4 bus will travel between Blanchardstown and the Point Village via Collins Avenue and the N6 will travel between FInglas and Howth Junction by way of Beaumont Hospital. The new routes will replace the current 17a and 31d bus routes.
The N4 and N6 routes will have a 10 minute frequency on weekdays and Saturdays, with buses every 15-20 minutes on Sundays.
The two routes will intersect in Finglas, allowing passengers to connect between both services. Westbound travellers on the N6 can connect with the N4 at the new bus stop on the Seamus Ennis Road (Stop 7845), and eastbound travellers can transfer from the N4 to the N6 at Finglas (stop 987).
Additionally, the N4 will provide an overnight service 7 days a week with a 30 minute frequency from midnight through to 6am.
The N4 service will be operated by Dublin Bus, whilst Go-Ahead Ireland will operate the N6 route.
